Position Overview:
Our client are looking for an experienced and visionary Senior/Principal Urban Designer to lead our urban design projects and contribute to the strategic growth of the company. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in urban design, a passion for creating inclusive and aesthetically pleasing spaces, and the ability to inspire and lead a team of talented professionals.
Responsibilities:
Leadership: Provide visionary leadership for the urban design team, guiding projects from concept to completion and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Project Management: Oversee multiple urban design projects, ensuring they align with client expectations, budget constraints, and established timelines.
Design Excellence: Drive design excellence by bringing a creative and strategic approach to urban design projects, integrating sustainable practices and cutting-edge concepts.
Client Interaction: Cultivate strong client relationships by understanding their needs, presenting design concepts effectively, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Team Development: Mentor and develop the urban design team, fostering their professional growth and creating a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Business Development: Contribute to the growth of the practice by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, participating in client pitches, and collaborating with the leadership team on strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Design, Architecture, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in urban design, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team of designers.
In-depth knowledge of urban design principles, sustainable practices, and industry trends.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts to both clients and team members.
Proficiency in relevant design software and tools.
