Role Overview:
As the Technical Project Lead specialising in residential projects, heading the technical aspects of residential architectural endeavours, ensuring seamless execution from conception to completion. Your expertise in residential design, building systems, and construction methodologies will be instrumental in delivering exceptional residential spaces that blend innovation, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. Collaborating closely with the design team, clients, consultants, and contractors, you will uphold the highest standards of technical excellence and contribute to the success of residential projects.
Key Responsibilities:
· Project Planning and Technical Coordination:
o Lead the technical planning and coordination of residential projects, defining project objectives, timelines, and resource allocations in alignment with client needs and project scope.
o Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative and technically sound solutions that fulfil project requirements while adhering to architectural standards and best practices.
· Technical Design Development:
o Drive the development of detailed technical designs for residential spaces, encompassing architectural systems, structural elements, building materials, and environmental considerations.
o Utilise architectural software tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp to produce comprehensive architectural drawings, specifications, and documents.
· Building Systems Integration and Optimisation:
o Oversee the integration and optimisation of building systems within residential projects, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and smart home technologies, to enhance comfort, sustainability, and energy efficiency.
o Collaborate with engineering consultants to integrate innovative building systems and sustainable design principles into residential designs.
· Quality Assurance and Compliance:
o Implement rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure the technical accuracy, constructability, and compliance of residential designs with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
o Conduct thorough reviews of architectural drawings, specifications, and documents to identify and resolve technical discrepancies and potential issues proactively.
· Construction Management Support:
o Provide technical support and guidance during the construction phase of residential projects, addressing technical queries, reviewing shop drawings, and facilitating effective communication between the design team and construction stakeholders.
o Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, ensure adherence to technical specifications, and resolve technical challenges as they arise.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
· Professional licensure or certification in Architecture preferred.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential architectural design and technical project leadership roles.
· Proficiency in architectural software tools such as Revit and other softwares.
· Strong understanding of residential building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
· Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
