Senior Technical Designer (Revit) – Commercial Workplace Interiors
London | Hybrid
Up to £70,000 + Commission
I’m working with a highly regarded commercial workplace design business looking to bring in an experienced Senior Technical Designer to join their London studio.
This is a great fit for a technically strong designer who knows how to turn ambitious workplace concepts into coordinated, buildable and beautifully detailed spaces. You’ll work closely with the creative, pre-construction and delivery teams, taking projects from developed design through technical detailing and into construction. They’re open to candidates from Commercial D&B, traditional fit-out or architectural practices, as long as you’ve got proven commercial workplace experience.
What you’ll be doing:
- Developing workplace schemes from design intent through to detailed technical design and construction
- Producing comprehensive technical drawing and construction packages
- Working predominantly in Revit, alongside other relevant design software
- Producing detailed plans, elevations, sections, details and schedules
- Coordinating architectural, interior, MEP and specialist subcontractor information
- Reviewing designs for buildability, compliance and technical accuracy
- Resolving technical and design challenges throughout the project lifecycle
- Working with creative designers to protect the original design intent
- Coordinating with consultants, contractors, manufacturers and suppliers
- Supporting projects through pre-construction and on-site delivery
- Mentoring junior members of the technical design team where needed
What’s on offer:
- Up to £70,000 + commission
- Hybrid working from a London studio
- Genuine ownership of projects within a talented, collaborative design team
- Close working with both the creative and delivery sides of the business
- A design-led business with a strong reputation for high-quality office interiors
Requirements:
- Strong experience delivering commercial workplace / office interior projects
- Background in Commercial D&B, traditional fit-out or architecture
- Strong working or advanced Revit skills
- Excellent technical detailing and construction knowledge
- Experience producing detailed construction and tender packages
- Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and relevant workplace standards
- Strong coordination skills across architecture, interiors, MEP and specialist packages
- Confident working with designers, project managers, consultants and contractors
If you enjoy the detail and problem-solving that turns a big workplace idea into something buildable, this one’s worth a chat.
