The Bigblue Story
2016
Bigblue was founded in 2016 by Piers Michell in a 2 room glass office in Oxford Circus, laying the foundations for the future of the business.
2018
Bigblue presence in the market grows along with our team, expanding our specialisms and managing to pick up an RDLC recruitment award for 'Best New Ship'.
2020
The first company ski trip is closely followed by the Covid lockdown. Reduced to 5 staff members and weekly zoom calls, Bigblue survive the pandemic ready to rebuild stronger.
2022
The Bigblue team grew to around 15, expanded our coverage of Freelance, Trad, Design & Architecture alongside D&B, began running our employee incentive trips and completed the national 3 peaks challenge raising £3,597 for charity.
2024
Continued growth and strengthening of our team through ongoing training and great hires, we moved into our first leased office, smashed our targets and celebrated in Mykonos with the team.
2026
Celebrating 10 years in business, Bigblue is the strongest it has ever been, with a strong senior leadership team leading Bigblue Search and Bigblue Contracting to become the most respected recruitment company serving the construction industry in the UK.
