Senior Pitch Interior Designer – Commercial Workplace D&B

Circa £80,000 + Commission (Negotiable Depending on Experience)
I’m working with a leading commercial Design & Build business looking to bring in an experienced Senior Pitch Interior Designer to join their team in Surrey.
This is a role for a highly creative, commercially minded designer who thrives on developing outstanding workplace concepts, presenting to clients and winning projects. You’ll play a pivotal part in the front end of the design process, working closely with the sales and pre-construction teams to create workplace environments that impress clients and help secure major projects.
They want someone who’s passionate about design, confident in front of clients and genuinely enjoys the buzz of pitching and winning new business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the creative design process from initial client brief through to pitch presentation
- Developing innovative workplace design concepts that respond to client requirements, budgets and aspirations
- Owning space planning, concept development, material selections and overall design direction
- Producing compelling presentations that communicate a clear creative vision
- Presenting concepts directly to clients and selling the design vision
- Working with Business Development, Pre-Construction and Commercial teams on competitive, commercially viable proposals
- Attending client meetings, design workshops and pitch presentations
- Collaborating with technical and delivery teams to make sure concepts can be delivered

Requirements:
- Significant experience designing commercial workplaces (essential)
- Ideally a Commercial Design & Build background, though strong candidates from traditional workplace design or architectural practices will be considered
- Proven experience developing and presenting high-quality workplace concepts
- A strong portfolio showing creativity, space planning and innovative workplace environments
- Confident presenting to clients and senior stakeholders, with the ability to build relationships and influence design decisions
- Strong understanding of workplace trends, materials, finishes and furniture
- Commercially aware, with an appreciation of budgets, feasibility and the competitive pitching process
- Proficient in Revit, with experience in Adobe Creative Suite
- Able to manage multiple pitches at pace and deliver to tight deadlines
