Project Director – Commercial Design & Build

Up to £140,000 + Commission (Negotiable Depending on Experience)
I’m working with one of the UK’s leading Commercial Design & Build businesses, looking to bring in an experienced Project Director with a strong understanding of the London commercial office fit-out market.
This is a senior, client-facing role for someone with excellent client relationships and a proven ability to identify, develop and secure new business. You’ll be commercially astute, confident in front of clients and know what it takes to win projects in a competitive workplace market. There’s a genuine opportunity to make a significant impact on the business’s continued growth.
A Commercial D&B background is ideal, though candidates with strong pre-construction experience in commercial fit-out will be of particular interest.
What you’ll be doing:
- Identifying, developing and securing new commercial office fit-out opportunities across the London market
- Building strong relationships with commercial agents, project managers, occupiers, landlords and other key stakeholders
- Leading client engagement from initial introduction and briefing through to tender, pitch and project conversion
- Working with the design, estimating and pre-construction teams on compelling, commercially competitive proposals
- Owning opportunities through the sales and pre-construction process and into a smooth handover to delivery
- Building a strong pipeline through existing relationships, networking and proactive business development
- Representing the business at client meetings, presentations, pitches and industry events
- Shaping winning strategies and driving revenue growth
What’s on offer:
- Basic salary up to £140,000, negotiable depending on experience

Requirements:
- Established Project Director or senior commercial professional with a proven track record in commercial office fit-out
- Commercial Design & Build experience highly desirable
- Background in pre-construction, estimating, commercial management or project delivery would be a distinct advantage
- Strong understanding of the London commercial property and workplace interiors market
- Proven ability to develop client relationships, generate opportunities and convert projects
- Confident, credible and commercially minded, with excellent presentation and negotiation skills
- Comfortable managing opportunities from first client engagement through to contract award
