Business Development Director – Commercial Workplace

Austin, TX

$180,000–$200,000 + Commission

I’m working with a respected international business that’s looking to establish its presence across the US, starting with a Business Development Director based around Austin.

They need someone already well connected in the commercial office and workplace market, who can originate opportunities rather than just manage inbound leads. You’ll have the freedom to develop relationships and win work nationwide, working closely with design, pre-construction and delivery teams to turn those relationships into live projects. You won’t be doing this solo either, there’s an experienced senior team backing you who know the market and know what it takes to deliver once the work’s won.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Building relationships and generating opportunities through your existing network
  • Engaging with Commercial Real Estate Brokers, Tenant Rep Brokers, Client-Side Project Managers, Project Management Consultancies and Corporate Real Estate contacts
  • Qualifying opportunities and understanding client needs
  • Working with design, pre-construction and delivery teams to convert relationships into projects
  • Representing the business at a senior level across the US market

What’s on offer:

  • $180,000–$200,000 salary depending on experience and level, plus commission structure
  • Nationwide US remit from an Austin base
  • The chance to get in early as the US business grows
  • Significant autonomy and responsibility
  • Backing from an established UK and EMEA business

Requirements:

  • Established network across the US commercial property market
  • Background in commercial office fit-out, workplace Design & Build or a closely related sector
  • Comfortable opening doors and building long-term relationships at a senior level
  • Excited by the opportunity to help build a business from the ground up in a new market

If you know the US workplace market and like the idea of getting in at the start of something with serious backing behind it, this one’s worth a conversation.
