Bid Manager – Commercial Fit-Out & Interiors
London
£60,000+ (DOE) + Package & Bonus
I’m working with an established commercial fit-out and interiors contractor looking to bring in an experienced Bid Manager to join their London team.
You’ll work closely with the Preconstruction Director and the wider tender team, owning the full bid lifecycle from initial receipt through to final submission. That covers PQQs, mid-bid submissions and final tenders, often on fast-track programmes, so you’ll need to be organised and comfortable under pressure. You’ll also help shape the overall bid strategy and make sure it comes through clearly in every submission.
It’s a fairly self-sufficient role, so it suits someone who likes taking ownership and driving the process forward.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering compliant, polished and engaging bid and tender proposals
- Coordinating PQQ and tender launches as new opportunities come in
- Running internal mid-bid reviews and lessons-learned sessions
- Working closely with estimating to keep commercial and technical submissions aligned
- Attending external tender briefings where needed
- Coordinating, reviewing and editing input from internal stakeholders
- Tracking bids from receipt through to project award
- Managing and developing the bid library and content bank
- Working with delivery teams on case studies and supporting project content
- Helping teams rehearse and refine client presentations
- Producing brochures and capability documents as opportunities arise
- Tracking future opportunities through public procurement platforms
What’s on offer:
- £60,000+ depending on experience
- Competitive bonus scheme plus short and long-term incentives
- Cycle to work scheme and gym membership
- Real autonomy and the chance to influence how the business approaches bids
- A supportive, engaged leadership team and a collaborative working environment
- Reporting directly to the Preconstruction Director
Requirements:
- High standard of Adobe InDesign and strong working knowledge of Creative Cloud, including Photoshop
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent written English with strong editorial and proofreading skills
- Understanding of construction terminology, procurement methods, contracts and framework agreements
- Construction, commercial fit-out or interiors experience highly advantageous
- Excellent time management and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines
- Confident working with senior management, estimating, preconstruction and delivery teams
- Degree-level education ideally
If you’re a Bid Manager who wants real ownership of how a business goes after work, this one’s worth a chat.
