The Opportunity

We’re looking for a talented Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor renowned for delivering exceptional projects across a multitude of sectors. You’ll work on and be the commercial lead on a circa £5m Commercial New Build Project.

This is the ideal opportunity for a driven Quantity Surveyor seeking to take ownership of exciting projects, support career progression, and play a key role in a market-leading contractor.

What You'll Be Doing

Take commercial responsibility for a £5m New Build Project in Hertfordshire
Prepare and negotiate subcontractor packages and procurement schedules
Lead CVRs, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
Maintain robust cost control and risk management across projects
Drive value engineering and cost-saving initiatives
Manage change control processes and oversee final accounts
Liaise confidently with clients, consultants, and internal teams

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in new build or refurbishment projects (ideally £2m–£20m)
Strong understanding of JCT contracts and commercial best practice
Background in commercial, office, hotel, education or leisure schemes preferred
Excellent negotiation, reporting, and leadership skills
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
