About the Company

 

Our client is a rapidly growing company that specializes in designing and constructing bespoke fit-out solutions for commercial & industrial spaces with a focus on quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction. They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor who preferably has experience of delivering an office fit out who wants to become an important member of the delivery team for them.

 

About the Role

 

Our client is looking for someone who is interested in joining an established and reputable team in the capacity of a Quantity Surveyor. Your primary objectives of the role will be to work with closely with team to ensure maximum profitability and minimise the cost and risk of a construction project and enhance value for money while still achieving legal standards and quality. Provide guidance and support to rest of project finance team, continually review processes to ensure maximum efficiency and act as role model to whole Team.

 

As Project manager you will be expected to have good knowledge of D&B office fit out and be able to manage Clients, Sub-Contractors & the delivery of projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

      Accurately and thoroughly compare subcontract prices, and work with the Contracts Manager to select the most suitable for each project

      Maintain correct financial control of all projects to ensure target margin is achieved or improved upon

      Value and certify subcontract work, overseeing invoices and applications for payment as well as arranging payments

      Produce valuations and applications for payment to the client - raising client invoices when agreed

      Identify opportunities for Value Engineering to improve margin and programme, and to reduce risk

      Network and develop relationships with key consultants and architects, with a view to generating new business

      Network and develop relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to develop a diverse supply chain

      To constantly review policies, practices and procedures to ensure continual improvement in our offering

      Understanding the client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies to ensure their proposals will work

      Maintain awareness of different building contracts

      Ensure timely cost and value reporting to ensure accurate cashflow reporting takes place

      Cost management including forecasting

      Reconciliation of CVR’s

      Attend site meetings, control change and obtain/provide variation confirmations

      Correctly apply the terms of the main contract including all notices, confirmations and authorities

      Provide guidance and mentorship to rest of project finance team.
